The colour is pale straw with a light green tint, while the nose offers up a seductively complex array of nectarine, passion fruit and citrus with underlying gooseberry, fresh lemon zest and faintly grassy tones. The palate is rewarded with fully gooseberry and nectarine flavors in combination with a crisp citrus finish. This brilliant wine is at its peak now and wonderfully complements chicken, salads and seafood.
The Fifth Leg takes it name from the additional leg that can be seen in the
Devil’s Lair Logo. It is a freestanding limb that’s not attached to the
main body, providing the inertia for a freedom of expression that
is reflected in the products bearing its name.
This is a blended wine that has the confidence to stand on
its own, dispensing with the traditional and introducing
the contemporary. Each year the Fifth Leg is redrawn in undertaking
a range of activities that reflect the food, music, wine and the much admired
Margaret River lifestyle.
