"The zinfandel is quite prominent in this blend which has plenty of blueberry, black cherry, and chocolate cream depth Ripe and creamy with good weight adn decent flavour depth and structure. Dark fruit and chocolate linger a bit on the finish."

Folie a Deux does not advocate the abandonment of traditional values. For most people, this has worked well for centuries, for them – well, they like the alternative. Not only do they push the envelope, they think outside the ‘cutting-edge box’. Don't you agree that three varietals in a blend is just the type of off-the-wall craziness that is overdue? Come on, three is better than two! |

|
Folie à Deux is the French term meaning
“shared fantasies”. Sure, they could have settled for your good old-fashioned doubel entendre. But why double when you can triple!!
Introducing the Menage a Trois Wines!
|
Menage à Trois examines what happens when you put three attractive, single young grapes in one exquisite bottle. It’s fun; it’s exciting; it’s legal in most states! |
When the founders of Folie a Deux, two psychiatric professionals, told their friends they planned to fulfill a mutual dream by starting a winery, it was jokingly suggested that the couple was exhibiting the classic symptoms of Folie a Deux. To build on this theme a drawing of twin dancers based on a Rorschach ‘inkblot” was created. With enthusiasm and a sound sense of humor as its foundation, Folie a Deux began its career in 1981.
The exotic, flowery and silky White Blend explores the promising relationship between Moscato, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. The Red Blend, with its rich, fruit forward profile, shows what happens when you introduce Zinfandel to Merlot and Cabernet. |

Bandit Cab is a Steal! |
| Another hot new item this year is Three Thieves, which comes in one-liter jugs sealed with Screw caps and priced at $9.99. The wines are produced by Joel Gott (Joel Gott Wines) with Charles Bieler, and Roger Scommegna. They are fueled with wine purchased on the bulk market. "It's just insane. We can't buy enough wine to make it," Gott said. The brand was born out of a conversation where Gott noted that the first wine he ever produced came in a jug. Gott started shopping for wine on the bulk market and that there was "unbelievable stuff' out there. "One thing led to another and all of a sudden, everyone was screaming, we want more." Gott said the wine is very popular in high-end wine shops. |
